Thanh Linh Vietnamese Restaurant

Overview:

Labeled on Google as a “Humble Vietnamese outlet offering ample portions of traditional soups & stir-fries, plus buffets”, Thanh Linh in Campustown by Bradley University offers a wide selection of Vietnamese dishes, with ample being the perfect adjective. Serving food all day, you can walk right in after class and have great quality food at great value prices, and you are sure to take some leftovers with you.

The selections for food here are endless, as you can choose from up to 82 different food options on the menu that range from curry dishes to soups to fried noodles. They even offer a lunchtime buffet that encompasses all you can eat for a very good price. The ordering format is somewhat non-traditional. When you arrive, you seat yourself at either a table or a booth and you can pick up a menu upon arrival. After seating, you are then treated to a waiter or waitress that takes your order and brings it to you. When it’s time to pay though, you take the receipt up to the register and pay at the counter with both card and cash options. Customers also have the option of ordering take-out as well.

My Experience:

After the staff vs students volleyball game during Foster Week 2023 (you all should attend this year’s also), I worked up a giant appetite, and I knew Thanh Linh was the perfect place to fill me up. I had been here only once before, and I was in awe at how big the portions sizes are. I have never in my life prior to this ordered a single plate of food with this much on it. My girlfriend and I were so eager to devour our meals

I started off by ordering some crab rangoons for the table, which I ended up eating most of, and they were very flavorful. I then decided to order a plate of orange chicken with broccoli and a side of white rice while she ordered a plate of thin rice noodles with vegetables and chicken as her choice of meat. When the orders came, we both just had to sit and admire for a second before eating and really take in how much food was in front of us. We actually ended up mixing a lot of our food together to try and eat a good amount of it.

The food itself was very good. I wouldn’t necessarily say it was anything out of this world, but it filled me up a good amount and it was affordable as well. I was satisfied and left happy (and with a lot of leftovers), and that’s really all you can ask for from a restaurant. I would recommend coming here if you want some quick and good food to fill you up.

I love Thanh Linh! The portion sizes you receive when you order from them justifies spending a little bit more money! The food is always delicious and so fresh!

I have never been to Thanh Linh but I have heard nothing but great things! It’s good to know that the portion sizes are big because that’s something I was looking for so I could get multiple meals out of my order. Definitely added to my list!

I’ve been to Thanh Linh multiple times and I always enjoy the food there! When I go with friends or family, we know what’s good and how the portion sizes are so we order what we like and then take the leftovers after. I wouldn’t say the food is the best of the best but it is pretty good for how much food they give for the price. The first time I went was during science fair regionals back in middle school when we had the competition at Bradley. We all ordered our food and we were so shocked at how big the portions were! My friend and I ended up ordering one item, which was the shrimp fried rice, and shared that. Even with both us eating that, we still had a decent amount for leftovers.
